I recently attended a discussion on Global Warming, part of FIAF's (French Institute Alliance Française) new Hot Topics series that is featured in the newspaper France-Amérique. We are past the stage of inviting people who disagree on this matter, and watching them argue. It is clear: there is a phenomenon of Global Warming. Columbia University professor Peter B. deMonecal and French explorer Luc Hardy were the panelists, both of whom are acutely aware of the changes that are occurring.
There is a natural component to Global Warming, and there could also be a human component. In fact, most scientists would agree that there is a significant human component even though they might disagree on the proportion.
